Using oil paint as my medium, I try to convey a sense of the whimsical and ephemeral. For the last several years my work has focused on parachutes, flowers, and birds, and at times, people. I hope to capture a sense of lightness, flow, and mystery by using thin layers of paint applied with strong and free brush strokes.

Through painting, my outlook on life always shifts and changes, allowing a sense of surprise and beauty to emerge. I hope some of these things are captured in my work, and that the paintings have a similar effect on those who view them.
